Jensen S-V8
2001 – 2002
production number: 39
In October 1998, a new Jensen was presented at the NEC Motor Show in England: the Jensen S-V8. This modern roadster was powered by a Ford Cobra Jet V8 4.6 liter engine with 325bhp@5800rpm. The first S-V8 will only be delivered from 2001. In 2002 the company went bankrupt after the production of about 20 units. The finishing of the unfinished S-V8s was taken over by SV Automotive who finished the last S-V8 in 2005.
Based on “The Genome”, a reference book by Richard Calver, 43 chassis were made, but not all were completed.
A total of 40 Jensen S-V8s were produced. One of these was converted as a prototype in 2000 into a “closed” C-V8.
